Description: This is a vector file that represents sewer districts in Monroe County, New York. According to Section 115 (Definitions) of Article 10 of the New York State Transportation Corporations (TCP) Law,4. "Sewer district" means a county sewer district established pursuant to article five-A of the county law or a town sewer district established pursuant to article twelve or article twelve-A of the town law.TCP § 115(4)A sewer district is also a special district. According to Section 102 (Definitions) of Article 1 of the Real Property Tax Law (RPTL) of New York State, 16. "Special district" means a town or county improvement district, district corporation or other district established for the purpose of carrying on, performing or financing one or more improvements or services intended to benefit the health, welfare, safety or convenience of the inhabitants of such district or to benefit the real property within such district, and in which real property is subject to special ad valorem levies or special assessments for the purposes for which such district was established.RPTL § 102(16)
