The purpose of this layer is to define the areas of interest within Monroe County, New York. This layer is one of many layers used by the Monroe County Department of Environmental Services (DES).

The data is currently stored and maintained in an ArcSDE geodatabase.
Currently, the data is maintained and updated by geocoding addresses, and then digitizing features based on aerial photography. Standard ArcGIS editing functionality is used to maintain this data.
